A sanctuary for the healing arts and dance
Sept. 18- Oct. 23 6-week series |
The six week series will cover a different theme each week addressing various ways of listening and will include work with weight sharing, rolling, falling, balancing, and going into and out of the floor and back space. We will look at ways we can free our movement, deepening into a "tertiary" listening sense that employs different contructed listening practices. The class will have a minimum and maximum number of participants to assure the best environment for working with partners. Schedule This series filled fast when last offered, so make your deposit early. |
An open jam inviting those who wish to dance to share the space together. If you wish, bring a dish and stay afterwards. All donations will go toward a new hot tub that will become apart of this monthly jam and potluck. Schedule |

The Fundamentals of Yoga
|
Yoga is way of finding balance within yourself and harmony with the world around you. In the tradition of Hatha Yoga, we practice joining the mind and the body, this class introduces you to the fundamental tools and techniques of that ancient tradition, and is a gentle introduction to yoga for beginners or a subtle refinement of practice for the ongoing student. Through movement, exploration, and inquiry, you develop a functional understanding of yoga postures, awareness of breath, meditation, and yogic philosophy. Schedule |
| Developing a Personal Yoga Practice | This class is designed for ongoing students of yoga who wish to come together in “Sangha” (community) and deepen their personal understanding and practice of yoga. Through movement and inquiry, relevant themes are explored to strengthen each practitioner’s inner reference system. Home practice is cultivated and encouraged. A minimum of six months prior study strongly recommended to participate in this course or the completion of The Fundamentals of Yoga. Schedule |
